Yuyang WANG
I am an Assistant Professor in the CMA Thrust, Information Hub at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou).
From 2022 to 2024, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in CMA. I received a PhD in Computer Science from the Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology, ParisTech in France. Under the framework of the French–German Institute for Industry of the Future, I was a visiting researcher at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. Additionally, I hold a Master Degree on Numerical Methods in Engineering from the International Center for Numerical Methods (CIMNE) at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Spain.
📣 Recruitment
Our group offers sufficient funding, abundant computing resources, and close collaborations with domain researchers. We are actively recruiting highly motivated PhDs and RAs with strong backgrounds in computer science, data science, applied mathematics, electronic engineering, or related fields. We also welcome students admitted to the Red Bird MPhil program to join our group.
- PhD applicants should have solid research experience aligned with our research interests.
- Applicants with limited research experience may join our group as RA to build research capabilities.
- Red Bird MPhil students joining our group: you will receive hands-on mentoring to develop expertise matching our research focus - all backgrounds welcome, upon successful interview. Outstanding performers will receive priority over over external applicants for the PhD program.
- Internal UG students at Year 2+ are welcome to take part in our lab research via the X Program, subject to project vacancies.
Solid mathematical and/or programming skills are required.
